Stayed at this hotel during my stay in guangzhou for 4 nights. Checked in was relatively simple just that the attitude could be better. A bit cold in my opinion. Lobby was ok, not that grand but don’t really matter. The room was good size and well appropriated with all the necessary amenities available like coffee making and drinking water. Bed was comfortable and I loved the views from the room, overlooking the pearl river. Walking distance to Beijing road which was why I chose the hotel. Overall, in view of the price paid, pretty satisfied.

The hotel is located next to the Pearl River and if you stay high enough, you can have a lovely bird eye's view over the river and seeing the city skyscrappers. We booked 3 rooms, on 25th, 26th and 28th floor and all are facing the river and the views were nice and awesome, be it day or night! The rooms were spacious and cosy, and the toilet and bathroom were separated and also had a good bathtub. Beds were very comfortable too and we had a good rest each night. And room services were well done. Location wise, good. It's 5mins walk from entrance F of Haizhu metro station and there were many eateries and restaurants around the area and within walking distance to Beijing Lu, Gaodi Street and the Sacred Heart Cathedral etc, within 10-15mins. These were the positive points of the hotel. As for the negative points, well, the wifi was very slow and connections got cut off on and off and regularly. You can send a message tonight and the intended party only received it tomorrow morning! In addition, reception staff were not that friendly and quite blunt and all guests had to be "photographed" when checking in, the first time we had encountered such practises in "our walk around the world" which when asked, they could not give a reason why. We didn't try it's breakfast buffet as we wanted to try the local authentic cantonese dishes but it was not cheap about S$40+ but the restaurant bar on 39th floor had an amazing view too as we went for drinks there. Overall, we had a nice and satisfactory stay there!

This hotel was part of our tour plan. The room was ok, a bit old. Close to McD. The only thing that was open at night ( we arrived late at night). The breakfast was pretty good. The window was dirty from the outside, so it was kinda blocking the good view.

Our stay here didn't get off to the best start, with being evicted from the gym. Wrongly I assumed being a guest at this hotel entitled me to be able to use the gym. It felt as though the hotel was trying to squeeze every dollar from us that they could. Even using the table tennis table incurred a fee. Explains why the recreation centre was empty. Apart from the additional fees being imposed, having staff who rarely acknowledged our existence was novel. What is the point of having a doorman, who doesn't open the door or even greet you? Breakfast was satisfactory but so many dishes were cold. On the postive side of things the rooms had all we needed. The mini bar being locked seemed odd and made the fridge difficult to use. Maybe another way to earn a dollar. The stand out feature of this hotel was its location. Close to the river, Beijing Road and the general hustle and bustle of Guangzhou. Would I stay here again? Unlikely.

The hotel room is clean and spacious with a good view of the Pearl River. It's only a 5mins walk from Haizhu Subway Station and conveniently located within walking distance to a number of attractions. I stayed in a business suite and the managers and staff of 33rd floor have displayed the excellent service beyond my expectations. The front desk Guest Service Manager are also extremely helpful and attentive and all our queries and needs were promptly taken care of. The restaurant (Joy Cuisine) on the 3rd floor serves delicious Chinese dishes and the staff were also excellent. This is definitely the place I will stay whenever I am in Guangzhou!
